Dinastia Vivanco, Crianza '04- Rioja, Spain                                                               42

 

Aged 16 months in French and American oak barrels and at least 6 months

in the bottle. Well structured wine w/ loads of red fruit flavors from

the ripe Tempranillo as well as well intergrated spice, vanilla and a light 'toastiness'

giving an elegant, long finish.

This quintessential Chilean grape produces a rich and spicy wine packed

w/ blackberry, pepper and cassis. Pair w/ red meats and game.

Deep ruby-red color w/ a nose of currant, bitter cherry, mocha, pepper and smoke.

A concentrated flavor of red berries and black pepper - good acidity.

Blend of Nebbiolo/Barbera/Dolcetto. Pair w/ red meats, game and medium-aged

cheeses. Limited cases produced.

 

Steltzner-Stag's Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon '04- Napa, California                         70

 

An excellent producer from one of Napa's most famous districts. Aromas of blackberry,

caramel, cedar and smoke. A structured wine w/ well intergrated tannins and flavors of

cherry and blackberry kissed by a hint of smoke.

 

Edmeades Zinfindel '06- Mendocino, California                                            13           40

 

90+ year old vines produce a wine distinguished by flavors of black cherry,

raspberries and cola with a seemingly endless finish.

 

Hugo, Shiraz '04- McLaren Vale- Australia                                                                  42

 

Powerful and dramatic, but not a heavy wine by any means, offering sharply

focused plum, blackberry, nutmeg and cedary oak gathering steam to zip
