Cititour Review: There aren't too many restaurants worth traveling to the far reaches of Brooklyn for, but Petit Oven is one of them. This small French cafe is already drawing rave reviews by foodies and loyal fans. It's co-owned by Nicole Guarino, who oversees the restaurant, while Katarzyna Ploszaj does the cooking from an open-air kitchen.

Katarzyna Ploszaj is the Chef@ PO with her partner Nicole Guarino who takes care of the front of the house . Katarzyna was born on a farm in Poland, she & her family were always cooking and taking advantage of the freshest ingredients. This sparked her interest in the culinary field which brought her to New York City to attend the French Culinary Institute. Graduating in 2001, she has since worked at many restaurants including JoJo’s Restaurant owned by Jean Georges, she also worked at Striped Bass under chef Christopher Lee in Philadelphia . Nicole has worked in the food industry for over 20 years. We see our restaurant as a Neighborhood spot to get great food that is sourced that day prepared with integrity and non pretentious service.
